After attending the 70th (GAWDA) Annual Convention for the second time, we have come back with lots of valuable information! We were exposed to new technological advancements as well as displayed our own with the Critical Alert for oxygen.

One of the highlights of the weekend was the keynote speaker, Earvin “Magic” Johnson. Johnson is greatly known for his talent on the basketball court through out the 80’s but his speech showed attendees his success as a businessman.

On top of being an NBA legend and a 2-time Hall of Famer, Johnson is a MLB owner, a motivational speaker, an entrepreneur and a philanthropist. During his speech to the GAWDA convention, Johnson describes how he took his competitive attitude from the court to the business world which propelled his company to being the #1 brand in Urban America. Today, he has made significant investments into lucrative businesses including sports teams, movie theaters, restaurants like T.G.I.Fridays and Burger King.

Our team took away a number of helpful business tips from Magic Johnson. It was once again a great experience being in San Diego at GAWDA 2014. Here are some pictures of the event!
